Calendar Revision - April 21, 2026

Several BCPS schools serve as polling locations and will be used for the upcoming proposed amendment special election on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The School Board approved a revision to the academic calendar to designate this day as a teacher workday.

Imagination Library Celebration ~ April 18, 2026

Courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library event is a celebration of literacy in Botetourt County! More than 1100 children have benefited from this collaborative partnership. Join us at Colonial Elementary School on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 9:00AM - 12:00PM for refreshments, games, reading time, and a presentation of certificates to those children who have 'graduated' from the program!

Vaccination Clinics: Spring 2026

The VA250 Passport Program celebrates 250 years of American independence and encourages students and families to explore historic places across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Participants visit museums, parks, historic landmarks, and cultural sites to discover Virginia’s story, one stop at a time.
